Immunisation
The goal of this program is to achieve and maintain at least 90% immunisation cover for children aged between 0-7 years in the GP Network area.
The program also promotes flu and pneumococcal immunisation for the elderly and indigenous population. There is support for practices to have current information and to maintain quality assurance procedures.
The MMGPN and the immunisation nurse from the Rural City of Murray Bridge have also coordinated the vaccinations of recently arrived Afghan refugees. Time is also spent with practices, hospitals, pharmacies, local government, kindergartens and child minding centres discussing new changes in immunisation.
