A Mental Health Forum brings together GP’s, allied health workers and consumers to identify and address local mental health issues. An email network keeps participants informed about new developments in mental health and training opportunities.

Mental Health Support for Drought Affected Communities
Provides community outreach and crisis counselling for distressed individuals, families and communities in drought affected rural and remote areas. Community awareness activities and training and support for clinicians and community leaders is also provided.

Mental Health Shared Care Project
This program is designed for people who have a mental health condition that requires ongoing support. This is provided by a specialist mental health practitioner based in the practice who may be a practice nurse, psychologist or allied health worker. It usually involves a management plan developed withthe patient and may involve other services or practitioners. Data is collected and collated to evaluate the services provided.
