Youth Health
An analysis of population health data has identified youth health as a significant problem in rural South Australia and in particular the Murray Mallee.The Network & RCMB, together with the Youth Sector Network and the Youth Advisory Group have worked tirelessly to develop an application for Headspace funding to establish a Murraylands Community of Youth Services as an adjunct to the Murraylands Youth Centre. Successful funding of almost $1 million has enabled the renovation of the upstairs section of the Youth Centre (the heritage listed Murray Bridge Railway Station) to provide co-located primary care; education and training; mental health; and drug and alcohol services for young people.
