MedSTAR Kids an integral component of South Australia's new single statewide retrieval service will commence operational activity on 8 February 2010 from the MedSTAR base at Adelaide Airport.

MedSTAR Kids will provide a highly trained doctor and nurse 24 hours and day 7 days a week to respond for stabilisation and inter-hospital transport of critically injured and ill children and neonates throughout the SA Health care regions. These teams will receive clinical support from a rostered Neonatal or Paediatric Intensive Care Specialist.
