GP Professional Development

Professional development activities for GPs are conducted in Murray Bridge and by videoconference for outlying practices on a monthly basis. A needs analysis determines the topics, which are presented in the course of a Triennium together with topics from the National Health Priority Areas (cancer control, mental health, injury prevention & control, cardiovascular health, diabetes, asthma & arthritis/musculoskeletal). RACGP CPD and ACRRM PDP points are applied for all activities. Generally, visiting specialists are invited to speak on topics.

Procedural upskilling is also arranged on request.

All doctors, locums, GP Registrars, interns and medical students are invited to professional development activities.

Doctors can elect which professional body they wish to belong to for maintenance of their professional development points, namely RACGP and ACRRM.
