Karoonda
The Mallee Medical Practice at Karoonda is a modern surgery, purpose built in 1989 and joins onto the Karoonda hospital (Mallee Health Service).The practice has one doctor and as well as visiting female GPs one day per month and allied health professionals including a physiotherapist, diabetes educators, audiologist, dieticians, mental health worker, chronic disease management nurse and podiatrists.
The practice was the first in the Murray Mallee to be accredited in 2000 with AGPAL. This practice also provides training for 4th year Flinders Medical Students and is involved in the John Flynn Placement Program.
