Psychologists are contracted to provide short term interventions in general practice. GP’s are supported to maintain the level of training required to be registered to make referrals. Data is collected and collated to evaluate the services provided.
Mental Health Shared Care with General Practice
This program is designed for people who have a mental health condition that requires ongoing support. This is provided by a specialist mental health practitioner based in the practice who may be a practice nurse, psychologist or allied health worker. It usually involves a management plan developed withthe patient and may involve other services or practitioners. Data is collected and collated to evaluate the services provided.
headspace Murray Bridge
headspace Murray Bridge offer a range of support services including no cost medical services and youth activities for young people aged 12-25 years. Activities and services are available at The Station, 3-5 Railway Tce, Murray Bridge.

A Mental Health Forum brings together GP’s, allied health workers and consumers to identify and address local mental health issues. An email network keeps participants informed about new developments in mental health and training opportunities.
